We are partnered with a growing technology company in Hampton Roads to hire an AV Solutions – Integration & Support Manager. This role oversees a team of project managers and technicians responsible for delivering AV integration projects and support services. The ideal candidate brings both leadership and technical expertise, with the ability to guide teams, manage resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

Responsibilities:

People Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of AV project managers and technicians, providing coaching, evaluations, and training.

  • Oversee career development and run regular team meetings to promote strong communication.

Project Oversight

  • Manage planning, scheduling, and execution of AV projects and support services.

  • Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and profitability goals.

  • Track project performance, budgets, and metrics, and report regularly to leadership.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the escalation point for client issues, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and effective communication across internal teams.

  • Support sales and engineering colleagues with technical input when needed.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage resource allocation, documentation standards, and compliance for departmental operations.

  • Oversee safety and maintenance of departmental resources and equipment.

  • Drive process improvements and contribute to long-term strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related Audio-Visual or IT integration experience, including 5+ years of management experience leading teams of technicians and project managers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage tight deadlines.

  • Experience with AV systems such as video walls, projection, displays, control systems, audio/video signal routing, and conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Poly, Cisco, etc.).

  • Familiarity with reading schematics, drawings, and construction blueprints.

  • AV certifications (e.g., Crestron, Biamp, Shure, QSC) and/or technical degrees are desirable but not required.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to long-term planning.
