Federal Account Manager – Technology & Integrated Communications
Location: This role is remote; however, candidates must be based in VA, DC, MD, PA, or NC, with the ability to travel to client sites as required.
We’re partnering with a fast-growing federal contractor to hire a Federal Account Manager to lead sales and relationship development efforts across a portfolio of federal government clients. This role focuses on delivering technology and integrated communications systems to government agencies, supporting everything from infrastructure modernization to secure, multi-platform communication networks.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with strategic outreach, understands the federal procurement process, and can work closely with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain trusted relationships with federal customers, procurement teams, and end users
Identify new opportunities and manage existing accounts within the federal government
Coordinate with engineering and support teams to align technical offerings with client requirements
Lead the pursuit of federal contracts, RFQs, and RFPs, including proposal coordination and follow-up
Stay current on agency budgets, technology initiatives, and integrated communications needs to inform strategy
Maintain pipeline activity and client records through CRM tools
Attend industry events, briefings, and agency outreach initiatives
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience selling technology or integrated communications systems, preferably to federal agencies
Strong understanding of the sales process, ideally within government or highly regulated environments
Skilled in outreach, relationship building, and client presentations
Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management
Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
