Workday Account Executive – State & Local (SaaS – HR & Financial Systems)

We’re partnering with a fast-growing technology provider that supports public sector organizations in modernizing their enterprise software environments. This company specializes in delivering cloud-based solutions that drive digital transformation across HR and Finance operations.

We are seeking a State & Local Government Account Executive to lead sales efforts for Workday solutions. This is a remote, field-based role focused on expanding market presence and driving strategic growth across State & Local Government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle for Workday solutions within assigned public sector accounts

  • Drive net-new business, renewals, and expansion opportunities

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with State & Local Government customers

  • Develop account plans and collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, marketing, OEM partners, and technical teams

  • Navigate complex procurement processes and long enterprise deal cycles

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting in Salesforce or a similar CRM

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, focused on SaaS-based HR, Financial Management, planning, or analytics solutions

  • Direct experience selling Workday solutions, or highly comparable platforms such as Oracle Cloud, SAP, or Tyler Technologies

  • Proven success selling into State & Local Government agencies, with knowledge of public sector contracting and procurement processes

  • Strong record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals with long sales cycles (6+ months)

  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans

  • Familiarity with OEM channel ecosystems and working closely with OEM field teams

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools
